I had a lovely trip to the Sabon store across the street from Bloomingdale's today. If you spend all day typing, it's nice to treat your fingers to decadent beauty products. Sabon Fig Coco body scrub is ideal for stimulating circulation and perfuming your fingers. It smells like a bowl of sliced, ripe figs.

I also was smitten by Sabon's Violet hand cream. I could have bought three tubes, at least. The scent is reminiscent of a violet eau de toilette that cult perfumer Sarah Horowitz used to make.

Inglot 10's Palette Swatches.

Inglot was established 25 years ago by Wojtek Inglot and there are 240 retail location worldwide and Malaysia being the first in South East Asia ;p

I came across this brand a year ago when my favourite makeup guru on Youtube go crazy over Inglot's superbly awesome pigmented eyeshadow. I am hooked just by looking at how beautiful the colors online! Their mattes doesn't appear powdery at all. Unfortunately this time around I didn't get any mattes. All the eyeshadows I bought are shimmery.

The colours in my palette are recommended by Miss Francesca, Inglot's makeup artist and I love them! ;)

Some of the colours just appear different in the pictures! :/

I just swipe my fingers lightly on all the colors and see how pigmented the colours are! These babies are definitely for colours lover.

#502 : Dark grey with a little brown and sparkle dust

#501: Grey with a light lavender sheen with sparkle dust.

Both the colours above are hard to describe..

#12: Copper, a little metallic with sparkle dust.

#428: Rich metallic midnight blue.

#494: Purple with sparkle dust.

#487: Light purple with pink hue.

#463: Creamy nude with gold sparkle dust. Similar color to Peach and Fuzz

#27: Bright yellow gold with gold sparkles.

#407: Peach color with gold reflection. I certain angle the color appear more golden than peach. Gorgeous!

#457: Dark brown with multi colour sparkle dust.

I have seen some videos online where you can actually lift up the eyeshadow pan by placing the cover of the palette on top of the eyeshadow pan. It doesn't work for me! I can feel the metal on the cover is attaching but it is not strong enough to lift the pan up. So, I just use the method I normally do. Knife.

The magnet is so strong! I can even hold my palette upside down and the eyeshadow won't fall!

Love or a lust?

For me, I say both.

I love the eyeshadows, they are pigmented, easy to blend and last long enough.

I say lust, even though I don't need that many, I still buy 10 colours.

Each square pan is RM28 and empty palette to hold 10 colours is RM43.

Conclusion:

I believe you can get similar if not the exact same colour from other high end makeup store as well. But for the price tag I believe this brand will make the most out of your money! ;) Even their foundation is priced at RM76 only! 0.0 and the foundation match my skin tone PERFECTLY!

May 2011 New Found Love

I rarely update on monthly most favourite products. Mostly because I normally fall in love with a product for a long time and to post up the same picture every month is kinda stupid. Right? not too mentioned that I manage to cut my beauty product shopping substantially. (YAY) But still didn't manage to save much because I use my money to spend on regular massage treatment (BOO). Anyway..

Here are the new products I am totally loving this month! As in Super Extremely in love! :) I will be reviewing them one by one. Stay tuned for detailed review.

My Beauty Diary sheet mask, I was first introduced to this and fall in love after the first use! Loving the Bird's Nest Mask and Bulgarian White Rose Mask. Got them from SaSa for RM49.90 for a box of ten with 2 free mask sheet.

I have so many things to tell you, so I am squeezing everything in my mind into one post:

BEAUTY FROM WITHIN

Often, we forget that pampering (such as going to the spa for a treatment or getting a pedicure) is not just an indulgence, but a ritual that we can either embrace or deny ourselves. If you are feeling burned out at school or work, making time for relaxation can help undo the effects of stress and offer a much-needed "time out."

Going to the spa is an investment in your overall health, and so if you don't already go, think of it as an important part of your schedule (errr, sort of like a dentist's visit but way more fun). To me, the benefits always outweigh the costs.

Also, there are always plenty of ways to relax and pamper yourself at home. For example, a light bulb went off in my head two days ago, and I tried using my Pure Life Soap Co. Volcanic Clay Facial Scrub ($10) as a body treatment. Although this scrub looks a bit like dirt, I bravely applied the mixture to my torso, legs and arms. The volcanic clay helped draw out toxins beneath the skin's surface, and left me feeling shiny and new. Another favorite product for relaxing at home is Mandy Aftel's Aftelier Perfumes Forest Flower bath oil (link to my rave review).

DISCO FEVER

Should you wish to appear enthralling, you must wear copper eye liner this weekend. Catch this trend while you can! Channel your Parisian alter-ego circa 1979! And in the meantime, if you took my advice and bought the Smashbox Softbox Eye Shadow Palette, this set has an excellent copper cream liner. If you prefer to use a pencil version, try Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Bronze #10L or Hello Kitty Glittercute Eyeliner in Teapot (penny-colored + glittery).

Apply the eye liner above your upper lashes, and then line the inner part of your lower lashes too. Finish the look with jet black mascara and a rich burgundy lip.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Eyeliner Review

Hello my dearest and most glamorous dolphins,

Are you ready to go swimming? I hope so!

New Aqua eyeliners at The Makeup Show New York.

One must-have beauty item for making a splash this summer is a vibrant Aqua Eyes eyeliner from Make Up For Ever. Your eyeliner is your sword, ladies. (Some girls think they don't need schmancy beauty products, but eyeliner is surely enriching. If you have any doubts about its utility in matters of love and seduction, one need only whisper the names Elizabeth Taylor and Sofia Loren.)

The Aqua Eyes eyeliners are all fun and colorful, but the best part is that they won't budge. (I tested them at the Makeup Show New York.) I applied many of the eyeliner shades on my hand and then, tried washing the color off with Softsoap. They didn't move, streak or fade. Then, I took a shower. Still, basically the same. After tons of washing and scrubbing, the strength of the brilliant colors hardly diminished.

Surprised in a good way?

Definitely!

So before you take a dip in a pool, sweep on one of these eyeliners in Turquoise or Pistachio. And if you are really beachy and glam, you could invest in a different shade to match each of your swimsuits.

El Cerdo, Bukit Bintang (oink oink heaven!)

Not a food review but just want to let you drool! ;p Ages since I last posted on food huh? Mainly because I have nothing special to share but now I do ;p We went to El Cerdo (the website is cute!!) for a small porcine delight. Yummeh!

One Plate of 4 different Mini Sausages-Farmer, Thuringer, German Pepper, Spicy Lyonner Sausage with Sauerkraut aka sour cabbage (no wonder it tasted like salted veggie :/)

Spaghetti with mixed seafood in Lobster Cream.

A year since I last tasted foie gras LOL.

I swallow and savour every bit of it. So Delicious! Heavenly. I prefer it medium rare tho..This is not available in the menu. If I am not wrong they ordered it from the opposite restaurant.

Cochinillo Al Estilo Segoviano aka Roasted Suckling Pig (portion for 2).

The piggy is marinated in white wine for 2 days so the skin will be crispy and the meat will be tender (I am surprised!) and roasted for 4 hours. To test on how crispy and tender the pork is we use a plate to cut it ;)

It came with two side dishes, fresh green salad with balsamic vinegar and baked potatoes.

Chopping process ;p

First I have to knock the plate 3 times before chopping the pork ( I have no idea why..) To prove that the pork is really crispy, instead with a knife, I chopped the pork with a plate! The pork skin is super crispy indeed! and the meat is tender too. DELICIOUS!

Knock three times and cut!

The ear is good! Trust me ;D

Spanish wine.

Recommended by him. He said it is good for beginner ;p

One of the thing I love about the place aside from the food, is the culture. In Greek they often smash plate for good luck. Since I figure out I need lots of luck I go for it. Kinda embarrassing but it's all good. My pictures with awkward faces LOL!

Yeap it was my birthday, so they sang birthday song followed by oink oink after every verse. Cuteee.

Food are good. Not too bad for the price because I was told bill came up to RM400plus. Blame the wine! Minus the wine, I guess the bill will come up to only RM200plus which is waaay cheaper compared to Las Caretas my favourite Mexican restaurant. And the porky, filled my stomach waaay beyond words. I barely can move after dinner =.=

For me the west suckling pig is different from the traditional Chinese suckling pig. You have to taste it for yourself. Both are equally good!

Word of advise; go in bigger group (min of 4). Order half of suckling pork and many other extra dishes. For me I get sick of eating too much pork towards the end lol! So to fully enjoy every single dishes the more people you go with the more food you get to taste without the bloated feeling ;p
