When they said that time will mend a broken heart, I hope they are right. And I hope the time will pass by fast. I don't think I can take another day with this knife in my heart. I just can't. And its true whenever you get cut, you come running home to mommy. Oh mommy.. How I wish you are near right now.

Voyage De La Vie
Last weekend supposed to be bad. Baby supposed to come down to KL but because of last minute changes he have to stay back in Singapore for work. I end up travelling 5 hours to Singapore. But all of it was worth it. mainly because I can shop in Sephora and we went for a show in Resort World =)
Went for a theatrical circus Voyage De La Vie. My first time watching circus show live actually =) I was excited and I wasn't disappointed. It was AWESOME!
Well here is the synopsis. Taken from rwsentosa.com
“Voyage de la Vie” or the “journey of life” is a story of a boy’s metaphoric journey, or a rite of passage before he becomes an adult.
Enter the world of the mysterious Lantern Keeper, the charming Crystal Cat and the mesmerizing Diva along with extraordinary inhabitants. Explore the journey of the boy on an adventurous search to discover his destiny. An unforgettable experience of magnificent sets, glamorous costumes and amazing circus feats awaits…
A circus theatre spectacular, the story is told through song and dance, combining with the energy, physicality and athleticism of circus arts, resulting in a contemporary cutting edge performance art form which fully engages the senses and keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. The first circus theatre spectacular ever to be created in
Singapore, it presents an international cast of circus stars brought together from 16 countries.
This is freaky man!
The part I love the most is Life and Death. Damn awesome!
The ticket price is from SGD48 to SGD188. Buy your ticket here.
The best part is I get 2 tickets for free from baby's friend. And we got the good seat =) SGD108. If you love circus you should go for this!
Didn't manage to walk around in Resort World but I managed to snap a few photos of me =P
Me and the man I love =)
Sephora Haul @ Singaporel!!!
My second time in Sephora SG in Ion Orchard I managed to grab few items!! Ahhhh.. I'm a happy girl =P
The first time around I managed to grab few items as well but I haven't post it up yet. Because I am not as excited as I am now! I just own my very first Urban Decay Eye Palette! I'm happy much okay! Very happy!
I am totally broke this month after paying for my embroidery, my hair color, my perm and my skin care product! But because I just love Urban Decay so much I forked out my savings to buy them..
Lo and behold...
I know the color a bit off.. Bad skills plus I'm using DSLR.. I don't even know how to use one..
Well lets leave the photography topic hanging and concentrate on what items I just grabbed! =P I got the eye palette for SGD63 This is UD Skull Palette consists of 9 best-selling eyeshadows (I can see that) The colors are really pretty! They have few other sets as well but I think these colours suit me best =)
I thought of doing the sneak peek of the colors they have inside in some other post. But after much consideration I have decided to do it now =P together with the swatches.
Pretty colors right!??!?!? PRETTY! This is my first swatches, I hope I did it right :)
Sorry for the blurry colors..
(From left to right) Twice Baked, Chopper, Blunt, Cherry, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, Griftter, Vert, Oil Slick, Shattered.
Very pigmented! Love it!
Fyi, I haven't use any of the colors yet. Maybe someday soon :) I'll post up the end result =)
You might know the next product. They call it genie in a bottle :) Can do real magic especially to my Cina eyes! Urgh! See! Even though I have double eyelids, they are not so obvious. So every time I apply eyeliner or eyeshadows they will smudge! Sorry for the strays eyebrow. =P
Here it is!
Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Left Original(transparent) and right Sin (shimmery champagne).
I tried the Sin. It really works! No smudge at all! Amazing! I will write separate reviews for the UDPP =) I just love them so much! I got both at SGD46.
I got myself 3 eye brush as well. From Sephora.
SGD20, SGD24, SGD20
So far I like them. I'm not pro with brush yet. Still learning =) So I can't really write any reviews on them..
I heard MAC Blacktrack fluidline is awesome, so I thought since I'm already here why not? =)
Got it for SGD28 (my first MAC product! Is it cheaper or more expensive in KL?)
Then I bought myself Beewax Lip Balm form Burtbees for SGD8. Total is SGD198.55 after 5% discount. (present your passport and you will get 5% off. If you are flying tell them and you can get another 5% tax refund at the airport! I love Singapore!) On top of that they have this loyalty program where you can get SGD40 for every SGD240 spent within 4 months. Too bad during my first purchase I didn't register for the loyalty program. Who know I will end up spend this much. I feel guilty now :( So to make it SGD240 ( my points will expired on 31July. Its from April-July) I bought Bare Minerals product.
This one cost me SGD46 before discount. I read some good reviews on this. But for this product, you either love it or hate it. Up to this point, I always avoid mineral cosmetics because I heard they can caused breakouts. But since I don't have any translucent powder I give this a try. Well not bad. :) More review on it coming up soon =) Now I need to get myself Kabuki brush..
Ohh!!! Topshop in Ion Orchad have cosmetics as well! Awesome right ( I hope i'm not too late to make this announcement. I just found out!) But since Sephora is just few floors aboveI skip their cosmetics. Bt I got myself their matte nail polish. They have this cute polka dots bottle!!!
For only SGD13. If you have F3 card, you still can use it in Singapore to get 10% off but you can't update your points :(
Guess which finger is matte and which are not?
I apply the matte top coat on my pinky finger. I hope its visible. Upfront it is more visible actually =)
This is what I got on my first Sephora hauled! =P
This is quite a long post..
ps: I went for Voyage De La Vie show in Resort World Sentosa. My first circus show actually. Went for it because the ticket was free =P But it was awesome. Me think =) Talk about it some other time *yawn*
Waiting for the arrival of my UD Naked eye palette in September. Still a long way to go...
Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil & UV Under Base Mousse
I had this crazy obsession on make ups and skincare products recently. I guess I'm scared of premature aging. And I started to use sunblock regularly even though I hate them so much! Very much! =( They always make my skin appear so oily even if they claimed their product to be oil free, water base etc..
I just bought these babies few weeks back :) Hehehe. Awesome not? =P
I really love the cleansing oil and the mousse foundation from Shu Uemura!
Even though I read a lot of good reviews on the cleansing oil I am a bit skeptical when it comes to "oil" product. I have combination skin so I try to avoid any oil based product which can do further damage to my pores =(
But this cleansing oil is a miracle worker! It removes even the most stubborn make up stains from your face. The after wash feeling is great as well :) After you rinse it doesn't leave any greasy residue :) Overall 4.5 over 5!
And another product that I so dearly in love with is UV under base mousse from Shu Uemura. This gives you light coverage. Ideal for people who don't have much pimple scars :) With this I don't have to apply any sunblock. As soon I got extra money I'm planning on buying face primer. Plan to try out Monistat Chafing Gel, but where can I get it??? This is serious business we are talking about. This product is another great product and only cost you a fraction of the famous face primer in the market.
The small round jar on the right corner is a cream eye shadow which the promoter told me to be used as a eye primer. It was okay but for the price you can get something even much better! Heard of Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) No Malaysia don't have it =( but I get mine from Sephora Singapore. Awesome genie in a bottle! ( wait for a post on it in the future)
My Favourite Laksa Sarawak!
I realized I didn't write about food for such a long long time! Well, I have gone crazy over make ups and facial products recently after I hit 22 =P Self conscious I guess. After browsing through my holiday pictures taken when I went back to my hometown, Miri last June I decided to share with you the kopitiam that serve the best Laksa Sarawak and Mixed pork soup =)
I totally forget the name of the shop. But it is located near a Petronas petrol station on the way to Miri Airport. Miri have a lot of kopitiams serving laksa, pork soup and kolok mee, but personally I find this shop is the best! The foods are actually prepared by different stall.
I think the one above is Kue Tiaw soup..
My favourite! Laksa Sarawak! They serve the best sambal =) I didn't eat there for almost 2 years. And during my last visit it was disappointing. I asked for more sambal and the tauke gave me sour face while handing it over! She used to be so nice. Maybe it was the time of the month where red aunties pay her a visit..
The gravy is heavenly! Slrrrpppp....
I love this soup. The owner is generous with the ingredient. You can really taste and feel your body heat up due to the generous amount of rice wine added to the soup
3 color Teh Si =)
I will update the name of the kopitiam in September when I go back for Raya holiday =P
Sponge Nail Art
I seriously hate KL! How could they not have Babyliss brand in hair specialist shop!?!? Anybody know where I can get them? I want Babyliss You Curl, but no matter where I went they don't have it. Damn disappointing!
Anyway I just did my nails :) And here are some pictures =D
Colors I used this time around.
With the colors above, my manicure up to 7 days and pedicure can last up to 2 weeks! And of course I didn't cook. If I cook my manicure only can last up max 3 days. Then it will start to chip out..
Sally really adds extra shine to the nail polish. Because by using sponge the nail polish kinda turn matte.
Brief tutorial on how to do sponge nail art =) It's really brief but I hope it helps.
AND not forgetting I bought new high heels few days ago!!
It's gorgeous! and its CHEAP!! Bought it in Sg. Wang. 6th floor.
Do you like it?? I love it! I wanted to bought black color actually but they don't have my size ='( and I don't have purple shoes! Trust me ALL my heels are black!!!
Oh man! pyramid gonna have Daiso outlet soon!!!! I'm so excited! I don't have to go to The Curve or IOI Mall in Puchong any longer! But Singapore is still cheaper by RM0.50..Well oh well.... We are in Malaysia anyway..
ps: I really miss Nyonya food and Cendol! Been craving for it since the beginning of the week! Dammit!
Estee Lauder Warehouse Sale On 14 August!!
Don't like Estee Lauder??
Naaahh me too. But When I received this email I am super curious. Well, I'm a girl and you can't really blame me.. I mean us =p. I'm sure even though you said you don't like that particular brand but when you see the "SALE" word automatically you will fall in love. What more if there is "WAREHOUSE" word in front.. and they are branded stuff!! I could go insane man!!!!
Okay..I clicked the link. Guess what I found out!!! Not only they offer Estee Lauder BUT they will have
Clinique,
Clinique,
Aramis,
BOBBI BROWN,
M.A.C,
Origins,
Fragrances from DKNY,
Tommy Hilfiger and
Donna Karan!!
Am I in heaven or what?!?!?
But... There is one bad news tho... It is staff sale and by invitation ONLY!
DAMMIT!!!
But wait... Like my momma always say.. There are silver lining and I can see it!!! Even though the event is by invitation only, don't worry =) Like me.. you can self invite yourself!!
All you've got to do is call their office and they will tell you where to collect the card!!! Which I did earlier on! But I haven't collect my card yet =( This is by first come first serve basis tho... I hope the invitation card is still available *cross finger*
According to some shoppers that went to the warehouse sale last year, instead opening the door at 8am, the event actually begins at 7am! They went there as early as 530am!!! Shit man!! Don't tell me I have to go earlier than this! Argh!!
ps: (updated on 26.07.10) Im not going, after plus and minus all the suffering I have to go through waking up early and have to be there at 530am plus not having a car (another issue) to be there right on time before the nice stuff gone, I rather buy my stuff in Sephora Singapore. Huh! If you attend the warehouse sale let me know ya :) Would love to hear from you!
Make Up Bag form Purple Glitz
I bought a make up case few days ago online =) Not a bad one and actually I kinda love it. My first make up case =)
Honestly speaking the quality is okay. But it is up to my expectation. I mean I get what I paid for =) It was RM97 only! Cheap huh?! Normally the one I saw in malls cost more for this size.
If you are a beginner, don't intend to do make up as a profession, on a tight budget, and don't have much make up stuff. This case will work out great! Trust me!!
Another plus point, the seller is so sweet!!! =) She will guide you and assist you with all your question even though your enquiries may sound silly at times =)

This is my make up case! Pretty huh?! Hehehe. The one in Shu Uemura cost thousands man!!! And this is like 1% of the price??
Two tier make up case.
26cm x 21cm x 28cm
Inner compartment is made out of velvet material. The steel holding up each tier is not that stable. But its okay =) Still pretty in my eyes :) They can hold quite a lot of eyeshadows and blushers =p
Like I said the seller is adorable =) She gave me so many free gifts!! More than I had expected! And she knows I like Shu Uemura and she gave me 3 Shu Uemura travel size product!
Love her muchy!!
Like I said, it depends on what you need :) If you are beginner like me and using it for personal use this is just nice :) If you intend to upgrade she does have it in bigger and much sturdy design =)
Update on my eyebrow ;p
It has been 1 week plus since I did my embroidery. But pictures below are taken on 10/7/2010. 4 days after I did my embroidery.
See the beginning and the end start to peel off already. This is my right eyebrow. This one is not as painful as the left one. I think the beautician accidentally injured me =(
The color really reduce to 50% as they mentioned! Yay! I hate it when the color is to thick and dark.
This is the left one. Btw, the whitish thing on my brow are cream given by Bluunis. It is to be applied 7-9 times a day. But I only apply it 3 times. Too lazy and sometimes I forget. Notice the end? My skin like split into two! Thats where it hurts the most =( But after a week it is much better. Due to the color start peeling off, my eyebrow tone become uneven. This is when eyebrow pencil is a must!
At least after few days the color start to peel off, they are not as dark as it used to be. The first few days I have to bow my head whenever I am in college. And when people stare I feel like poking their eyes out!
For my eyeliners, the upper ones stay. But the lower ones vanish without a trace!! Shit!
As you can see in the picture below, you can't even tell that I did my embroidery before!!
I got freaked out! It was RM280 for my lower liner!! I called them and they said normally for eyeliner the color won't stay. But after the second touch up it will definitely stay. So we'll wait and see then. Urgh! I don't look forward for the next touch up tho. Painful =(
I might ask them to make my eyebrow a bit thicker at the end. The line is so thin! Barely can see!
ps: I bought a make up storage/box a few days ago. From purple glitz. Will be blogging about that soon =) quite affordable compare to all those branded ones such as MAC, Shu Uemura, etc..
NOTE: I'm looking for Alice in the Wonderland eye make up palette by Urban Decay! This limited edition baby were sold out everywhere!! =( I want it brand new UNTOUCHED! (yea..yea.. I know Im kinda late to the party..)
Sob sob
Nicole is sick! But she can't sleep! Toss and turn and end up in front of her lappie =(
Tri-tone Nails
My new nail design. Well not a new design. But this is my first time trying to make it own my own =D
It was pretty easy. And the result is awesome. I think =P
Some of the picture might be blur. Sorry in advance.
First of all you will need a cheap sponge =D Go and grab the sponge your mom normally use in the kitchen. I got mine from Giant. RM0.99 for 5 pieces!!
Then cut into 3X3 cube :)
After applying base coat etc.. I applied Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear as the base for my color.
Then I use Violet Red no37 from Elianto. I paint some of the nail polish on the edge of the sponge. Don't apply to much. Then I dabbed the sponge on my nails. I try to blend the colors so it wouldn't look to awkward =)
After I'm done with the purple. I repeat the same process for black color nail polish. Dabbed it on my finger with the sponge. This time focusing on the tip of my finger nails. Then tadaaa!!! I'm done! Easy peasy!
If you like you can apply top coat to make it shinier! Love those shimmy shimmy colors!
Updated: For a more even application, instead of applying your nail polish directly to the sponge, you can actually apply the nail polish on a sheet of plastic (or paper etc) and lightly dab the sponge on the polish before dabbing it on your nail.
