Spring Cleaning + Aveda Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother

I sometimes put on a nice dress for cleaning house. Counterintuitive, perhaps. But why should anyone clean dressed in rags? I am going to pop over to the laundromat, and then suds up the ol' apartment.

Before I do, a recommendation:

I started using this product about a week ago and it's solid. Speaking openly, I am not a "hair" person. It would be much easier if hair didn't exist, and in the meantime, mine is growing to the floor like a lhasa apso. If you put Aveda Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother in your hair when it is still damp, it beats the frizzies. (Frizzies was a word, in 1979.)

Also, the Red Clay Ramblers released an album called "Chuckin' the Frizz" the same year:

Wishing you all a lovely Sunday.

Mistress of my domain,
Charlotte
P.S. If you have other tips for beating the humidity, chime in!

Ah, Love! Ah, Pedicures!

Dating has been kind of stressful. I know that I should return to my jogging routine to shake some of my nerves.

In the meantime, my pocketbook is filled with Chanel lipsticks and receipts. Also, I can't wait to wear sandals all the time. I went to Dashing Diva in Carroll Gardens yesterday and got my toenails fixed up with Essie polish in Fruit Sangria. It was very relaxing at the D.D., and I made some new friends while waiting for my toenails to dry.

Busy Body

Short note on weight loss journey.

Remember that I said you don't need thousands to slim down? Well yea.. Coz I think I got a pretty good deal from Bizzy Body =D RM399 for 24 sessions! But of course terms and condition apply. But actually it is not literally 24 times. As in you don't go to their centre for 24 times. I seriously don't know how they classify one time. No idea. But for me, I have to go to their centre for 5 times. Now I am waiting for my 3rd appointment. 2 appointment in 1 week, so I will be done in 2 weeks and a half =D

They promised that I'll lose 20cm. So let see whether it really works. But I'm not following closely on their diet. They don't allow me to eat fruits and vegie!!! I'll die! So I will still eat but I cut down on carbo =)

The first session was detoxing. Detox massage, and they kinda forced ask me to buy detox serum which is RM200 ++ for one small bottle!!! Insane! And only for one time use. But I paid RM156 because they said it is trial price. Which I think a total waste of money because I don't feel any improvement after that. I rather drink detox tea. Then they wrapped me in a blanket that will  press my lymphatic knots. No idea whether it is effective or not. I doubt so.

Second session, they applied ginseng oil and wrapped me. And cover me with infra red blanket. Then they use some kind of vibrating machine they called G-5. This machine really can vibrate!!! I think all my fats were jumping in shocked! And again they forced ask me to buy products. I said I'm broke and got no money. So they give me RM80 for freaking 20ml Nutri Skin Lipo Sculpt Gel! Maybe  worth it. But it is EXPENSIVE! Which she again said RM89 is the trial price but she can use her points so I just have to pay RM80.

More to come once I finish up all the sessions! =D

So Unlucky!

I hate you!! I hate you!! and I hate you!!! =(

I am SERIOUSLY gonna let my frustration out!!!

I was in Sunway Pyramid last Saturday (I am always there. They should pay me for being a loyal visitors!)
When I enter from the main entrance, there is this red carpet thing and paparazzi cardboard like figures with flashing lights. They have this Fashion month events going on. So, I look around for stage set up since it is Fashion month there must be a Fashion Show I assumed. Boy, how wrong I was!!!!

No stage?? Okay I ignored. We head off to Forever21, nothing nice. Then to Topshop, nothing nice either. Then lastly to Miss Selfridge. Since I enter, I have been saving Miss Selfridge as the last stop because I know I will buy something from them. They have this BIG ass 50% OFF poster on the glass! How to ignore??? Tell me..  Walked in and spend RM200 ++ for 3 clothes!!! Bargain ain't it??? =D 1 dress, 1 top and a blazer. Then walk around and shop some more. Then went home around 3.30 pm.

At 5 pm, I decided to buy Scrabble. The travel version. So at 5.30 pm I went Sunway Pyramid again (alone BF sleep at home like babi baby.)  to buy Scrabble in Popular. Then went off. From my condo it is only RM5 taxi trip =D.

Then at night, about 8.30 pm decided to go Pyramid AGAIN for dinner. Planned to watch movie. On the way to the cinema is when I realised what I WILL BE missing!!!!
They have this leaflet that says

"Spend RM100 and above in a single receipt and take part in the We Pay Your Fashion Bills & Fashion Spree Contest!"

and
"Spend RM300 and above in 2 receipts and get a free makeover with photo shoot. There are prizes to be won and the Best Cover shot will become the next cover girl."

Shit you!!! For not putting up banners big big at the main entrance!!! The really annoying part is on that day itself I went pyramid 3 TIMES!!!! And when I found out about the photo shooting appointment I don't have my shopping receipt with me and it was 9.30 pm already!!! AND the receipt is only can be claim on that day itself =( Ughh...

SAD!!!!

Pity me for not having such a great photography skills =(. No matter what camera I use, it doesn't make much impact on my pictures. When you bought a SLR camera in Singapore, only Canon brand I guess, they have this workshop for beginners to attend. Mainly to help beginners to explore the camera. On which settings to use, etc.. But it has been 3 months now and I still haven't make my reservation..

Had dinner with my family the other day.  Just wanna promote their shark fin soup! =P Love it to bits!!

I am no good with food names especially when it comes to Chinese food.
So, I have no idea on what is this.

Mee Sua, eggs, vegie, chicken soup. The soup is delicious even though it look very plain...

Ohh the noodles are imported from Sibu =) So it is far better than what you can taste in KL.

Shark Fin soup. Really thick and filled with fresh crab meat and shark fin. I have no idea on how much is per bowl (one bowl is enough for 10 people. Don't be so dumb the portion in the picture is mine! Not the entire big bowl!). But should be worth it =D

Now come the fishy. The fish is ours. Brought it in from the Thailand restaurant beside =P.

Another bad photo. The fish is somewhere under the greenies... Hiding.

They called it Ipoh Chicken. So I have no idea whether it is the real name or they simply call it one because my dad brought it from Ipoh.

Then we had something that I called fish tummy =D And again no idea on what the commercial name is. Pretty famous and lovable by all except me. Yucks.

Though most of the food are ours =D If you plan to eat there please don't bring your own food. =P And don't tell them "I read in Nicole's Mirror that she said her family had dinner here and brought their own ingredients"

The Thailand restaurant beside do have really good Tom Yum, grilled mackerel, grilled crabs and grilled lamb (my favourite) . They have more but those listed are my favourite. Oh.. The Thailand restaurant serves HALAL food =D

I think the Chinese Restaurant do have some kind of promotion going on now. RM9.90 per dishes with over of 100 varieties to choose from. Not too sure whether there is any T and C applied because everything were written in Chinese. I only understand the numbers and pictures.

If you would like to try here is the address.

Lot 28, Jalan Perdana 3/8,Pandan Perdana,55300 Kuala Lumpur.
Tel: 03 9284 5666

p/s: The foods are good =D Do expect heavy crowd during special occasions or sometimes weekend.
