Inglot Cream Foundation

On my first visit to Inglot, I volunteered for a mini makeover and this is how I came across this foundation. I told Francesca, the makeup artist that I want something that will blend and match my skin tone perfectly. I mentioned that I have combination to dry skin but I don't want something that is very moisturizing either because I tend to get oilier on my T-Zone.

She recommended Inglot Cream Foundation in shade 38 for me.

Searching for a foundation that match my skin tone is a real challenge! Totally a bummer if foundation that you think match your skin perfectly well.. suddenly turn orange on you!! You turn out looking like The Hulk only in orangey version.

On my first application in Inglot store I was amazed on how this shade match my skin perfectly. I have never come across any medium to full coverage foundation that match my skin tone well. Unfortunately, this is not the case . The foundation oxidize on me after a few hours of application. I tried applying it on top of primer. Still doesn't work. I guess I have to go back to the store and purchase a shade or two lighter than no38.

In applying the foundation I have to be extra careful when using a makeup brush. It is easy to over apply and resulting in cakeyness. In my opinion the foundation is best worked with makeup sponge. Not only I am able to apply the foundation faster, it gives me more even application as well.

In terms of coverage, this foundation is great. The coverage is buildable from medium to full coverage.
Before-Left..After-Right
The foundation does a good job in covering my blemishes and pores without looking cakey. Love the coverage however the feeling of having it on is not exactly
lightweight. I guess that is the price you have to pay for having a better coverage.

I don't have to conceal my dark circle.

Now move on to the scent, I honestly don't fancy the scent very much. I have a very sensitive nose and the scent does sting a little bit. What come close to mind is this remind me of detergent scent.

I don't get any breakouts nor congested skin which is great

The thing I like the most about this foundation is the dewy but not shiny look I get. If it didn't oxidize on me this foundation is the best foundation to fake that flawless skin I do not own. The foundation have a great staying power too. It survived the whole night of sweating in club but I do have to blot several times

Price is pretty reasonable too. RM76 for 30ml (I hope I get the price right, they have few cream foundations, I hope I don't get them all mixed up)worth of product.

Pros

  • Buildable coverage (medium to full). Good coverage.
  • Affordable price compared to many other high end foundation.
  • Long wearing.
  • Doesn't clog pores.
  • Dewy finish minus the shines.
  • Great foundation to fake the flawless skin.
Cons
  • Strong scent.
  • My skin gets oily after 4 hours or so.
  • The colour oxidize after few hours, recommended for you to try it on and bring it for a walk roughly one to two hours to see if it oxidized.
  • When applied too much can result in cakeyness.

Conclusion
Not the best foundation I have tried but definitely worth the try. The scent could be improved and I might need to go back and find the shade that won't go orange on me after few hours.
