Inglot AMC Lip Gloss (Duochrome Lip Gloss)

Before I start for those who do not know what is Inglot feel free to Google Inglot Cosmetics and for those who do not know their existence in Malaysia check out Inglot's soft launch in Malaysia on the May 27, 2011.
............................................
I am not a big fan of lipstick nor lip gloss because I have a teeny weeny mouth that barely can be coloured. However when I first saw this online my heart screams "Holy Cow! I have to have that!" and YAY Tuzki Bunny Emoticon I manage to have one! For a lip gloss lover the price may not be a big issue. Especially for MAC lover but for me who only buy lip gloss if they are part of a set this is a big money to fork out.
This lip gloss is retailing at RM62.
AMC (Advance Makeup Components) lip gloss come in 6 psychedelic shades to choose from.

I have only one which is in #544. I love this lip gloss just because it looks amazing in the packaging!
See the iridescent? (holographic, duochrome or whatever you may call it) Beautiful! Honestly, it does look a little like hot lava.  How can a colour lover say no to that?? HOW?
Read on to see if it shows up the same way on your lips.

Important points before you purchase :

  • The lip gloss is not gloopy, which I love. I cannot say enough on how much sticky lip gloss grossed me out. eeee...
  • Since it is not gloopy, the staying power is not so great either. For me that is not a big problem I don't mind reapplying.
  • The scent is okay as well, soft but very noticeable. Not great and not so overwhelming.
  • Color payoff, this lip gloss is not opaque. If you have dark lips you may want to apply lipstick to even out your lip colour before applying the lip gloss.
  • The iridescent effect is only visible the moment you swatched them on your lips. Not too sure whether the same thing applies to other shades but for mine, once they are on your lips the psychedelic colours that made you fall in love just vanish.. However, if you apply thick enough the holographic effect may be visible just a tiny bit.
  • Because of the extreme shines, it does give slight plumper look to your lips.
  • Doe foot applicator. I prefer this instead of the brush type, because when you pump in and out, the brush sometimes got frayed.
If you apply thick enough you may catch the effect a lil.

Sheer lip gloss. Depending on your preference you may want to apply lipstick first. The holographic effect is no longer visible.

Doe foot applicator.

Conclusion
If your main and only reason to purchase this is to have that holographic effect on your lips and it is like DIE or NO DIE kind of situation you may want to pass on this (not sure if other shades will show up better). However if you love experimenting and do not mind splurging RM62 and not guaranteed of the end result go ahead and purchase. This indeed is a very fun lip gloss to play with.
WARNING:
You may end up swatching the lip gloss on the back of your hand over and over again just to be wowed by the holographic effect, just like me.

I am still debating whether I should get the AMC Lip Gloss in #541 , saw swatches on lips online and that shade seem to be showing more holographic effect on the lips.

Im gonna try out their gel liner as well (because my Fluidline is dying drying) ;) Gonna compare the gel liner with my all time favourite MAC Fluidline ( the only MAC product I own!)
