Hard Candy Bad Girl Next Door Kit

I wanted to try various products from Hard Candy and the most purse friendly way to do that is by purchasing set. Though the set may cost less that what you actually paid for (since they are in really micro sizes) at least you do not have to forked out for the full amount. Am I right?

This kit contains everything you might need for the eyes. Well, except concealer.

The Kal-Eye-Descopes.

The eyeshadow are the same size as 10cent.

Baked eyeshadow. I was really disappointed with the quality. First of all they are hard. I have tried quite a number of baked eyeshadow and none of them are as hard as this and it seems as if there is an invisible layer on top of the eyeshadow that prevent the eyeshadow (especially the white) to transfer to my fingers for swatches.
They are sheer when swatch dry and without a primer.

The 2 outer colours are swatch on top of Hard Candy eyeshadow primer. As you can see the colour pay off totally change!! They are so pigmented! For wet application, the color pay off you get is more metallic. Still I prefer this to be applied on top of primer more than anything. Not the easiest eyeshadow to work with.

Eyeshadow Primer

The primer is scentless.
Thick white texture. Not runny.
A little bit sticky compared to Urban Decay Primer Potion but once dry it feel as if nothing have been applied. Not too sure if this is suitable for sensitive skin. This definitely help in making the eyeshadow to appear more dramatic and vibrant. Eyeshadow last longer but still crease at the end of the day.

Ginormous Lash Volumizing Mascara in Blackout

Before mascara
After mascara

The mascara wand are the same with normal size mascara. The mascara did transform my eyelashes. Lengthening and volumize them tremendously. It even hold up my curls well and dries instantly. Unfortunately, the mascara is too clumpy for my liking. If this mascara does a good job in defining and separating my eyelash individually this mascara would be perfect.

Lash Tinsel Glitter Mascara
As you can see from the picture it look like Sesame Seed! Lol! This is the weirdest product I ever have come across! This is suppose to be a glittery mascara. Obviously it doesn't look like one. first of all it doesn't even sparkle. Secondly, a MASCARA? Are you kidding me? The base aren't black! It is transparent. For stick straight and thin Asian lashes like mine this definitely won't do any good. Unless you use blue mascara and layer this on top then you might see a difference. Not only this doesn't saprkle, it takes ages to dry and the fall out is totally a MEEEEH(sucky) product.

Take Me Out Liner Pencil

A black eyeliner pencil with speckles of silver glitters. The glitters does not show up well when you apply them. This is not suitable for sensitive eyes as the glitter might irritate the eyes. No staying power. Smudge easily. Applied on moderately smooth as no excessive pulling and tugging needed.

Conclusion
Although the eyeshadow are not the easiest to work with compared to other brands that I owned, the colour payoff when paired with the eyeshadow primer are quite pretty. Plus the eyeshadow packaging are so cute and small. I am satisfied though not in love with the eyeshadow and primer. The glitter mascara should NOT be included in the set especially when it is black. Mascara is average. If you are among the person who doesn't mind your mascara appear a little clumpy, then this mascara is for you as it does a perfect job in volumizing and gives a little length. As for the pencil liner. It is moderately soft but smudge easily.

Not a set I would present as a gift but wouldn't mind to accept. If I have to give a rating for this product I think I would have to give 2 out of 5. I give 2 mainly because the eye look that come out from this kit is pretty on me.

EYE LOOK CREATED WITH THIS KIT.
my lashes separated like the red sea! LOL!

Note: Only the Ginormous Lash Volumizing Mascara and Last Tinsel Glitter Mascara are made in USA. The rest are made in China.
