Caudalie Vinosource Quenching Sorbet - Creme

The name itself sound so delicious!

My favourite light weight moisturizer since it is 365 days humid here in Malaysia. You wouldn't want to be adding extra tons of rich and creamy product on your face, well unless of course you are stuck in an air-conditioned room the whole time.

Said to be suitable even for the sensitive skin.

Pros:
  • Lightweight, I assume this would be suitable for normal, combination, oily skin and those who love lightweight moisturizer. ( I have normal to dry combination skin)
  • Convenient pump bottle, hygienic, small nozzle - you don't have to worry about pumping more than the amount you needed. Air tight bottle (ensure the freshness of the product)
  • Awesome for people who live in tropical country, like Malaysia, Singapore, etc.
  • Ingredient that claims to provide anti-oxidants benefit, Grape Seed Polyphenols.
  • Absorb into the skin in minutes! It took less than 2 minutes for me to apply this moisturizer and for it to be fully absorbed.
  • Doesn't leave the sticky, greasy feeling. Gives a velvety touch.
  • I love the scent! Light soothing scent.
  • Lightweight BUT hydrating! Keep my skin hydrated the whole day.
  • Little goes a long way. For me, 1 1/2 pump is enough for my whole face ;)

Cons:
  • For intensely dry skin this might not give you enough moisture.
  • Not too sure if this is good for oily skin too as it did not mentioned about having any oil control property.
  • Kinda expensive. RM120 for 40ml, if it was cheaper it will be AWESOME!
  • Though I like the small nozzle and the air-tight bottle, I actually really hate this packaging. I somehow hope they will improve, because somehow it is really hard to pump out the product. When I try to put pressure by pumping repeatedly, the products squirted everywhere.

Conclusion:
Perfect lightweight moisturizer for me, depending on your skin type this may not be sufficient to keep your skin hydrated. They should redesign the packaging of this product. Fix the pump

This product was included in the goodie bag during SaSa Blogger Tea Party (introducing Caudalie)

Ease those muscles ;)

I just came across this co0l iPhone application and I am actually amazed! You can get this iBrate Vibrate here, it's FREE.

This application basically, transform your phone into a massaging tool. Can be used to ease your tense areas such as neck and shoulder AND can be double up as a tool you can use during foreplay! LOL! I may be the last person on earth to have found this because I don't own an iPhone but maaan! Phone nowadays can serve you more than a communication device huh? Well definitely cheaper than those self-pleasuring tools  Better still. No need for a secret hiding place anymore!

So, since this is the case, I think a wiser decision will be not to touch your colleague, friends,.. (you name it) iPhone any longer huh?

Happy experimenting people

Loreal UV Perfect Longlasting UVA/UVB Protector SPF50PA+++

This product have been around for more than a year! And I just found out about it two months ago! I wonder where have I been?

I just love this product.

This product is retailling for RM36.90 but now Guardian is having sale (23 June 2011- 13 July 2011) so it's RM29.88 for 30ml worth of product. A good bargain if you just want to try it out ;)

Ingredients:

From liquid to powder sunblock, I have tried it all. Those typical sunblock which is in white liquid, unfortunately never impress me. No matter how lightweight they claimed to be, they always leave a white cast over my face and I end up looking as greasy as a frying pan.

There are few reasons why I featured this as my May Favourite ;)

Pros:

  • Blend with my skin tone so well! doesn't leave a white cast over my face even if I accidentally applied more. I tried Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF45 and didn't like the fact that it leaves a mask-like effect on my face.
  • Lightweight, non sticky, spreads evenly
  • Light scent.
  • It gives me the dewy effect I love!
  • Affordable especially during sale. Easily accessible.
  • A good base for my makeup.
  • The usual, claims to be long lasting (up to 12hrs), SPF50 PA+++

It does leave a healthy glow on me ;) Does it?

Cons:

  • Sheer to no coverage. (aren't all sunblock are the same?)
  • I used up the first tube pretty fast!

Conclusion:
The pros and cons are based on my combination skin. For oily skin this may be oily. However I noticed that UV Perfect range do have it in matte finish! Unfortunately in matte finish it is only SPF30. Overall, if you haven't try this yet and still on the search for that perfect one. Give this a try!

Have you tried this? do you like it or hate it?

Beauty Tip: Hold Onto That Lipstick, Girlfriend!

Treat your lipstick collection like a painter's palette.
Any gal who has gone shopping for lipstick knows that sometimes the color you thought was so "right" is sometimes quite "wrong." But is any shade of lipstick really "wrong"?

All lipsticks are in fact just colors and textures you can play with, so be original! If you bought a lipstick recently and you don't like the color solo, just pull out some other lipsticks (perhaps, shades you use regularly) and mix them together until you reach a pleasing and flattering combination.

It can take a few tries to create a harmonious shade, but you might just be blown away by the results.

Lately, I like blending pink lipsticks with orange undertones to create gorgeous, warm lip colors. (Honestly, the shades I use I thought would never look good on me but haha, I look more "meow" than ever.)

Be bespoke! Customize your lips according to your mood, and leave the world marveling at your myriad of beauty looks!

XOXO,
Charlotte
