Quite Pleased...But Was Angelina Jolie's Dress A Hit or a Miss?

Super-thrilled that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association came through (see my earlier post) last night. Air kisses to Mark Ruffalo!

Otherwise, I have one word for Angelina Jolie: champagne. I loved her hair and the makeup was just fine and foxy. She's worn nude gowns before, but a shimmering champagne-colored silk dress is really the way to go.

In my mind, actresses should wear champagne, ice blue and pale violet. (There's nothing wrong with bolder colors, like camera-ready ruby red and canary yellow, as well as traditional black and white.) They should not be mistaken for a fern though, even a magical glittering fern.

Please, please, please wacky Hollywood Foreign Press Association choose "The Kids Are All Right" for Best Motion Picture in the Comedy or Musical character.

Sigh! Love Mark! Forever! I once touched Mark Ruffalo -- on the hand, lol -- and he looked into my eyes. It was deep, girls.

Don't laugh! For me, Mark Ruffalo is a gentler version of Marlon Brando and just as sexy in person as on the big screen.

I would throw out all my perfume just to meet him again. Do you have a Golden Globes crush too? Talk to me!

Logic Big Eyes Lenses from Malaya Optical.

I went to Malaya Optical launch in Damansara Uptown on the 8th January.

For your info, I received one pair of contact lenses in my goodie bag. I bought few pairs but only one is mine.

I have black and brown.

Be reminded that RM15 was promotional price. The retail price is RM90 for one box. Each pair can be used for a month.

Used the brown lenses twice so far. For class and for partying out. I don't really wear contact lenses and my eyes are not sensitive or dry, so I won't be able to give detailed review.

But here's what I feel ;)

The lenses is comfortable. No itchiness or dryness. I wear it comfortably for a good 6 hours of class and few hours of Zouk-ing ;)

But they doesn't really enhance my eyes. No one actually realize I am wearing contact lenses =.= But if you really look closely, you might be able to tell that I am wearing one. Highly recommended for for the natural look lovers! Well, I am more on the crazy colors side ;)

Wearing the brown lenses.

This lenses unfortunately only available in 2 colors. So if you use plano contact lenses then this lenses might not be much help since they only have brown and black.

BareMinerals Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara Review

After my kick-ass workout today, I realized there. was. no. lipstick. in. my. purse.

This reminds me of the Cole Porter lyrics that go "picture Henry Ford without a car / picture heaven's firmament without a star."

After enough fiddling, it appears that if you wear a lot of mascara and it's really cold outside, it kind of looks like you are wearing lipstick anyway. The cold leaves your lips sufficiently ruddy, and the mascara does the heavy lifting.

Today was a non-lipstick day, and I was fine.

It only took about 12 applications of bareMinerals Flawless Definition Volumizing mascara ($18, Bareminerals.com) to feel duly covered. This mascara gives a bit of oomph and curl. The formula is very much a smooth operator. Whew!
