At the moment, I'm on a plane drinking coffee with I'm pretty sure no boyfriend, no job, and no makeup. To make matters worse, I see next season's hot new item is the short-sleeved coat--seriously,
WTF (are they trying to give us pneumonia?)--and cute high-heeled oxfords, which won't fit me because my arches are deranged.
When I land, I'll have 2 days to catch up with all my left coast pals--pat my friend's newborn baby on the head, say 'hi' to my old roommates--before chuting to Monte Rio on California's Russian River. Upon helicoptering by car to Monte Rio, I plan on swimming upstream like a salmon to the local bar and wallowing in some bourbon-miniskirt combo. The rest of the time I expect to lay out like a beached dolphin with no purpose but to wear bikinis, sadly.
From my window seat, the clouds remind me of all the popcorn and coconut ice cream I should be eating for "good cheer." Alas....
